Meet the Founder – Ione Angeles

Ione Angeles is a multifaceted artist, healer, and educator whose life embodies a deep commitment to service, creativity, and spiritual growth. Born and raised in Southern California, she has spent over 25 years building a remarkable career as a reggae singer-songwriter, energy and sound healer, former Montessori teacher, and spiritual retreat leader.

As a devoted mother of two, Ione’s journey spans continents weaving together music, education, healing practices, and a passion for uplifting women and children around the world. Her work is rooted in authenticity, compassion, and the belief that travel can be a sacred pathway to healing and self-discovery.

Women’s EmpowerHer Retreat Facilitator

For over a decade, I’ve been guiding women through practices that reconnect them to their bodies, breath, and inner wisdom through yoga, Pilates, energy work, breathwork, Sound healing, plant-based eating, herbalism and intuitive meditation. But the true foundation of my work began with my own healing.

My womb healing journey started after years of disconnection years of abusing my body through what I put in it, who I allowed in it, and what I allowed myself to be around. I reached a point where survival was no longer enough. I was ready to remember who I was.

I began to reclaim myself through the sacred practices of Rastafari livity, womb-centered yoga, and meditation. My healing deepened as I studied with wise elders, most notably the teachings of Queen Afua, whose work helped me honor my womb as a gateway to both healing and creation.

Today, I hold space for women to do the same to revitalize from within by clearing emotional residue, detoxing inherited pain, and embodying their divine feminine power. My approach is both rooted and intuitive, fusing movement, breath, ancestral wisdom, and sacred ritual.

Welcome to Ethiopia Tourguide! My name is Ras Fitsum and I give tours throughout Ethiopia, following the footsteps of His Majesty Haile Selassie. I look forward to welcome you to my country. As your personal guide I will be delighted to offer and provide everything you expect to ensure your enjoyment of an unforgettable journey.

For the last years I have been working as an independent tourguide and for a tour operator based in Ethiopia. I have good contacts within the travel business and can assure you to book great guesthouses, national parks and tours around the country.

During my years as a tourguide I have developed a great knowledge of my country’s heritage and the fabulous variety of wildlife that live within them. You can be totally in control of the tour, where you wish go, how many days you want to stay, and the type of accommodation you stay in. Booking a tour with me you will travel through Ethiopia from a local point of view meaning you will support and enjoy the local community in my beautiful country Ethiopia.

I chose this company for a tour in Addis, Lalibela and Danakil. Addis and Lalibela went perfectly. Highly skilled guides and drivers. Good program, adapté to the need of the customer. Danakil went less well due to the local guide. It was still great and the tour opératif tok decisive action to mitigate the situation. All in all a great trip for a reasonable price.

Lalibela was a major win on my Ethiopia trip. Those rock churches? Seriously unreal. It felt like stepping back in time just walking around those old buildings. You gotta see Lalibela if you ever go. The whole trip was planned super well. We had our own minivan the whole time, so getting around was easy and comfy. Everything was on time, so we could just enjoy ourselves.
